Something unexpected happened today. There were some unusual photo opportunities during my otherwise normal daily walk.
I encountered what I believe to be a Blue Heron while walking the trail at the local patch of the Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park. Think that I have gotten him before, but never quite as close, or as clearly, as today.
Also, I spotted a couple of deer. Normally, they would have remained quite well hidden. Yet perhaps because of the unusually quiet nature of the path today - I was literally the only one on that particular patch, until the final five minutes or so, when I got close to the parking area - I kept seeing them quietly standing, watching my every move.
These pictures seemed worth sharing here.
Enjoy.
