Today is Halloween.
Yet for my girlfriend and myself, it felt more like yesterday was Halloween. For her, that meant going to a Halloween party at her job, which itself meant dressing up. She had me buy her a wig of beautiful, curly hair, which also made her instantly jealous and desiring to have such hair in real life. She also got some sort of princess uniform or other, which she said was neither from Trek or Frozen. So I am not familiar enough with those things to be able to identify, specifically, which princess uniform it was. Nor does it matter much.
For me, yesterday was more or less a day off. My enthusiasm for getting dressed for Halloween tapered off when my son stopped trick or treating. So no dressing up into costume for me. I had a Work From Home shift the night before into that morning. But that meant not having to commute and being home on a day when she and I mutually have off. We did our regular breakfast thing, then went about our business with regular things like grocery shopping (and going to the Amish market, which we had not done in a while). Towards the end, she needed some help getting ready for her office party. While she was preparing her Halloween costume, I snapped some pictures.
As an aside, one of these pictures is of me, and not her. Fun game idea: see if you can identify which one that is.
