U.S. President Donald Trump had a warning for Americans. He said that if Democrats win big in these upcoming midterm elections in less than two weeks:
"You’re going to be thrown into a system where everyone gets healthcare."
Yikes.
I guess we wouldn't want that, would we? Why, if we get decent healthcare, what will happen to those poor billionaire who pay next to no taxes? They might have to pay a little bit more, and the amount of money they keep might not be as outrageous as it currently is.
Clearly, Trump does not want that. Apparently, he believes that most Americans would think of that as a nightmare, as well.
Funny, because once upon a time - during the 2016 presidential campaign, to be precise - Trump promised to build a national healthcare system that would be affordable and would cover everyone. As if that rosy promise was not enough, he even suggested that it would be easy.
Then, he lifted not a finger to actually trying to create such a system, although he sure tried to destroy the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare.
Now, he is opposed to pretty much any government program that actually helps people. After all, how will billionaires rake in still more profits at the expense of the American people if that is allowed to happen?
Let's put this damn Trump presidency behind us already, please. Enough is enough.
Did Trump say 'everyone gets healthcare' if Democrats win? While the quote is authentic, Trump said it well before the 2026 midterm elections. Jordan Liles Published Oct. 20, 2026
