Bookless Libraries?

Now, I thought this looked really cool!

Imagine a library without books!

Before you sigh and dismiss this is as some depressing story about some backwater, redneck town that has an undersized library that proves inadequate for their population, like....say, West Milford, New Jersey, keep in mind that this is a new kind of library. A highly technological one.

It's not some understaffed in every sense of the word) library, but perhaps a glimpse of the future. Or, of what the future might contain for us.

Far from a hopelessly and depressingly inadequate library, this is a library that utilizes modern technology so that books can be found and read on computers, rather than hard copies being found on shelves, and obviously taking up storage space, as well as contributing to the process of global deforestation.

Very cool!
