So, many of you have heard about Ken Ham, the guy who opened up a creationist museum not too long ago?
Well, turns out that he and Bill Nye, often referered to as "The Science Guy", are going to have a debate.
Sounds interesting, doesn't it? I would definitely like to see it, that's for sure.
Have a feeling that creationist theories and a literal interpretation of the Bible simply won't stand up to more balanced, scientific scrutiny.
Ham apparently likes to taunt his detractors by asking them "Were you there?", suggesting that specific and personal observation of the past would be required to ceemt scientific theories on what happened. Therefore, that line of logic suggests, we cannot be scientifically certain as to what happened, and the origin of the planet, and how we human beings got here.
Of course, the same question could be asked of Ham, since his assumption is that events played out exactly the way they are written in the Bible - specifically, the Book of Genesis.
Should be interesting!
