Let's Not Forget Trump's Dangerous Gamble to Distract From His Failures at Davos

This is a little outdated, since this economic summit - and Trump's behavior - was headline news around the world in mid- to late January.

Still, it serves as a warning. Because Trump's behavior is obviously not going in the right direction. And let's face it: a lot of this seems to be a rather transparent attempt to distract from his presidential (and personal) failures. Particularly the criticisms of ICE, Trump's secret police force, and of course, the ongoing controversy with the Epstein Files. It seems increasingly clear and undeniable to anyone with an ounce of intelligence and objectivity that Trump is featured very prominently in the Epstein Files, and that he paid visits to Epstein Island.

Frankly, that is hardly a surprise to begin with.

Neither is his increasingly unhinged - and dangerous - behavior.

Remember, just a few weeks ago, his "Wag the Dog" attempts to distract from the Epstein Files and his failing presidency involved an invasion of Venezuela and relentless talk of taking over Greenland. It seemed, in short, that Trump might be threatening to start World War III in order to get people to forget about Epstein.

What is worse is the casual nature of his talking about taking over Greenland. It was designed to horrify Trump detractors - which of course includes the majority of the entire world - and to get his mindless MAGA supporters pumping their firsts. Here is a man of action, right?

Except that when that happens on the world stage, and when you have an American leader apparently increasingly comfortable with calling himself a dictator and threatening the sovereignty of independent countries, it becomes exceptionally dangerous.

Below is a video of someone who was there at Davos. He witnessed Trump's behavior and words, and was horrified.
