Tampa Bay Buccaneers Reveal New Uniform

Well, they revealed their new helmets last month, and now, they revealed the rest of their uniforms along with the helmets.

It's definitely in the new style, I'll give them that.

And I'm not sure what to think about them. They could be pretty cool looking.

Still, as I mentioned, I was kind of a fan of this team when a kid, back when they had the creamsickle uniforms. And I personally love the creamsickle uniforms, and thought that they made the team look unique, and gave them truly a feel of representing sunny Florida.

No more. Now, they have a kind of over-the-top look to them. Maybe I'll get used to it after a while, although I never really took to their different uniforms from 1997 until this past season. Frankly, I thought those uniforms were boring.

These uniforms are not as boring. But they are also rather predictable, with a huge emphasis on looking modern, like a video game. I guess that's the new way of doing things. Seattle did it a couple of years ago, Jacksonville and Miami both did it last year, and Tampa Bay has done it now, too. You can bet that some other teams will try to do different things, as well.

Hopefully, it will be worth it.

And in the meantime, let's just see if the changes in the way that Tampa Bay's uniforms look will foreshadow changes on how they look on the field of play, if their results change. Ultimately, that is far more important than their uniforms.
