On one level, it is surprising to see this guy actually die, after having survived so much. On the other hand, there was a sense with a lot of people, myself included, that he was going to get himself killed sooner or later.
I mean, going up to some of the most dangerous animals in the world, including the most poisonous snakes and other potentially deadly creatures, is not the way most of us would choose to make our living. Yet, his show was incredibly informative and highly entertaining. He is clearly missed by many.
In any case, the cameraman opens up about Steve Irwin's death, and what exactly he recalls about it:
