I ran into this article not long ago and thought it would be a possible subject of interest for people, for a variety of reasons.
Some are obviously very famous and names that we are all familiar with, such as Joan of Arc and Cleopatra.
Some, such as Susan B. Anthony, Rosa Parks and Harriet Tubman, will be more well known to Americans, specifically.
Of course the Amazons remain mysterious and border almost on the edge of mythology.
I have to admit that I was not all that familiar with Boudicca, however.
