The World Wide Web Celebrates 25 Years Today!

Just a quick note, that today marks a quarter of a century that the World Wide Web has been in existence! It was on this day in 1989 that it came to be for the first time.

Obviously, it has grown greatly and changed dramatically during that time!

There was actually a lot that I wanted to say about this, but time interfered a bit today (okay, and perhaps just a wee bit of laziness and procrastination on my day off).

Maybe I will get a chance to write a bit more about it later on.

In the meantime, it just seemed the right thing to do to acknowledge such an important date! After all, if you are reading this, there is a good chance that you use the internet on a regular, even a daily, basis. And obviously, I do, too!

So, it may be better in many ways and, yes, admittedly, some things might be worse in a few ways. But this is an important day in history, nonetheless. A quarter of a century of the internet as we know it.
