Mitt Romney Becomes First Republican to Break Party Line By Standing Up to Trump

Mitt Romney just became the first Republican to break rank with his party and vote to convict Trump on the charge of Abuse of Power.

Now admittedly, I have mostly disagreed with him in the past. Given how much pressure he surely has faced among his fellow Republicans in Congress (particularly the Senate), as well as the abuse he is likely to get from Trump and his supporters, this was actually a courageous, and I would suggest a patriotic, act.

I have newfound respect for Romney.
