We have grown used to Trump, this nation's legally elected president, acting like a child. That not only includes petty tweets and threats and name-calling, but it also includes his constant bragging and boasting, usually proclaiming himself more capable and especially more brilliant than anyone else. After all, who else refers to themselves, quite literally, as a "very stable genius?"
The thing is, Trump very rarely shows even the slightest indication of actually being the "very stable genius" that he at least claims to be. Again, he not only acts out like a child, and shows absolutely no ability at self-restraint whatsoever, but he also cannot seem to complete a coherent thought or sentence, often because of apparent interruption from his own thinking. And he often talks like a person who knows exactly what he means to say, and assumes everyone else knows, as well, even though, quite frequently, no one other than him actually understands what he is actually talking about.
Well, there is a Trump White House insider who recently noted that, in fact, this is not some kind of an act, some kind of disguise to have people underestimate him, as some Trump fans who I have met seem to proclaim. In fact, Trump is quite forgetful, and has a hard time understanding things. Also, he gets easily frustrated by the considerable number of things that he fails to grasp.
Which, let's face it, is pretty consistent with what we have seen from him and how he conducts himself over the past three years now since he took the oath of office.
Here is some of what we have learned about how the "very stable genius" is in real life, according to this White House insider:
"He stumbles, slurs, gets confused, is easily irritated, and has trouble synthesizing information, not occasionally but with regularity," the official warns.
Often, they say, "the president also can't remember what he's said or been told."
"Americans are used to him denying words that have come out of his mouth," the senior official writes. "Sometimes this is to avoid responsibility."
However, they say it often "appears Trump genuinely doesn't remember important facts."
Very stable genius, indeed.
Indeed, his act of being a moron is no act to lull his enemies into a false sense of confidence. He actually is every bit as stupid as he appears to be.
The more that we see and hear of Trump, the easier it is to understand that there really is no mystery. He really is a child who cannot back up his actual boasts about himself and his incredibly keen intellectual abilities. He brags, but lacks substance.
Ar you surprised?
Yeah, neither am I.
