MNF Review: Ravens Humiliate Rams in Los Angeles.

Baltimore might not have a perfect record, although their 9-2 record on the year is still pretty damn good, and one of the best in the league.

Indeed, the Ravens have looked incredible in recent weeks. Ever since handing the Seahawks a convincing loss in Seattle late in October, the Ravens have been absolutely on fire. The win against the Rams last night was their seventh straight win. They have scored at least 30 points in each of their last five games, and have won by an average margin of 28 points in those games. That streak includes wins at Seattle and at the Rams, as well as a victory over division leading Houston and, of course, the New England Patriots.

If anything, they appear to be growing more dominant. They have scored 135 points in their last three games, while allowing only 26 during that same stretch.

Nobody seems to know how to stop them. They have a very young quarterback who is killing people with his arm, although he is also a threat with his legs. And the Ravens running game just looks unbeatable at the moment.

Lamar Jackson had another incredible night, completing 15 of 20 passes for 169 yards, and a whopping five touchdown passes. He is the first quarterback in the 50 year history of Monday Night Football to throw five touchdowns on his first ever appearance on Monday Night. Football. Mark Ingram II added 111 yards and one touchdown on 15 carries.

The Ravens produced 480 yards of total offense, compared to just 221 for the Rams. Baltimore also held onto the ball for just shy of 40 minutes, or two-thirds of the game, and produced 31 first downs, to just 14 for the Rams.

For the Rams, Jared Goff threw 26 of 37 passes for 212 yards, with two interceptions. Todd Gurley II, who was one of the key factors for the Rams dominant offense last season, picked up only 22 yards on six carries. Baltimore basically completely shut down the Rams offense, which hardly looks like the explosive unit that they had appeared to be in recent seasons, especially last year’s Super Bowl season for Los Angeles.

Right now, the Ravens just look like they are rolling, running on all cylinders. Their defense is one of the toughest in the league, and their offense looks simply amazing, and is one of the highest scoring and explosive in the league this season. They are approaching 400 points on the season, with five games yet to go.

Another tough test for the Ravens comes next week, when the 10-1 49ers come to town. Some are speculating if the Niners have the defense that can finally limit this Ravens offense, which just looks absolutely explosive at the moment. It is slated for a 1pm start, but is likely going to be the biggest game, the game of the week, next weekend.

Stay tuned!
