PSG was playing very well until this weekend, when they were stunned by lowly Dijon FCO, who pulled off a comeback win to shock the home team, who nevertheless remain comfortably in first place of Ligue 1.

Mbappe broke through to open the scoring in the game in the 19th minute, giving PSG a 1-0 lead.

However, Mounir Chouiar was able to tie the game very late in extra time just before the half.

Then, Jhonder Cadiz scored early in the second half, as Dijon took a 2-1 lead in the 47th minute. They managed to hold off PSG the rest of the way on a rainy evening, earning only their third win of the season. To their credit, they have been playing much better in lately following a disastrous start to the season.

This was one of the biggest upsets in Ligue 1 play to this point in the season.

PSG will return to action against Club Brugge on Wednesday in UEFA Champions League play, before hosting Brest in Ligue 1 play next weekend.

  1. It's unfortunate that PSG already has 3 defeats. A couple of seasons ago, if memory serves the season was half over if not more than half over before they suffered their first defeat in Ligue 1. On paper, they don't have any business losing to any French club, especially one as modest as Dijon. Not that it excuses PSG's half-assed performance, but for the record the home team was Dijon, not PSG. Anyway, look for the latter to rebound against Brugge.
