🏈 2021-22 NFL Week 2 Predictions 🏈

🏈🏈🏈🏈

Denver at Jacksonville - Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars get home field advantage for the first time this season, and they are up against the Broncos. That figures to be a winnable game. However, Jax still has some issues to iron out, while the Broncos played very well in earning an impressive road win at the Meadowlands against the Giants. They can get off to an impressive 2-0 start with a win, which would be the first time since that Super Bowl season, and I predict that they will do it. My pick: Denver

LA Rams at Indianapolis - This could be a very tough game. Really, this is a toss up. The Rams looked good last weekend, and their defense did look as good as their billing. The Colts now want to recover from that loss to the Seahawks, and they have another home game. But Los Angeles is tough, and this feels like the kind of game that could go either way. Since, however, I have to choose....My pick: LA Rams

Houston at Cleveland - The Texans earned a nice win last weekend, but going up to Cleveland to take on a Browns team that has an explosive offense and a chip on their shoulder after that heartbreaking loss last weekend in KC? Well, that is likely a bit too much. This figures to be a potential statement game for the Browns. My pick: Cleveland

New Orleans at Carolina - The Panthers beat the Jets last weekend to start this season right. And now, they get a second home game. But the Saints have to be flying high after blowing out the Pack, and they seem like the better team. It should be a close game, but I like the Saints with the chance to get to 2-0 to start the season. my pick: New Orleans

Las Vegas at Pittsburgh - The Raiders earned a very nice win on Monday night. Now however, with a short week and a tough road game, there will be some new challenges, ones that I think might be too much for this team. The Steelers are coming off a big win up in Buffalo, and have a chance to go to 2-0 after two games. my pick: Pittsburgh

San Francisco at Philadelphia - Both teams are coming off impressive wins last weekend. The 49ers scored a lot of points and hung on in Detroit, while the Eagles simply blasted Atlanta. Now, they face one another, and it should be an interesting match-up. However, the 49ers feel like the better overall team. They were in the Super Bowl just a couple of years ago, and this season could and perhaps should mark a return to that form. My pick: San Francisco

Buffalo at Miami - One problem for the Bills after losing that game at home to the Steelers is that, with a tough road game this weekend, they face the very real possibility of an 0-2 start. The Dolphins really look improved, and I figure that this will be a tough game for both teams. However, my suspicion is that the Bills are a bit of a better team, and feeling the pressure of being under the gun here, they should be able to pull off the win. My pick: Buffalo

Cincinnati at Chicago - Yes, the Bengals won last weekend, and that was a solid achievement. However, to get two wins in a row would be really, really impressive. And the Bears hardly looked like world beaters last weekend, with a geriatric offense that looked lackluster against the Rams. Still, Chicago will probably prove too tough for the still rebuilding Bengals. My pick: Chicago

New England at NY Jets - The Jets lost against the Panthers, but did not play horrendously. Their offense did not exactly light up the scoreboard, but again, they were in the game. The Pats, meanwhile, lost a disappointment at home against Miami. Now, both of these teams are looking for their first win of the season. New England is not what they used to be, not even what they were just two short seasons ago, when they were coming off a Super Bowl championship and still had Tom Brady at the helm. Yet, they still have owned the Jets, which makes this game about whether or not the Jets can exorcise the demon of the New England Patriots, who are a shadow of what they used to be. It should be a good, tight game, and yes, I see Gang Green pulling off a narrow upset here. My pick: NY Jets

Minnesota at Arizona - The Cards pulled off an impressive win at Tennessee last weekend, while the Vikings suffered a tough and controversial loss to the Bengals. I think that Minnesota actually has a real chance to pull this one off, although my head tells me that the Cards, playing at home, should be able to take this one. Hard one to figure here. My pick: Arizona

Atlanta at Tampa Bay - Tom Brady and the Bucs managed to just squeak one out over Dallas to open the title defense season with a win. And they get to play at home again this week, against a Falcons team that suffered a terrible, frankly embarrassing home loss last weekend. My suspicion is that this one will not be as big of a blowout, but it will result in a predictably win for the home town defending champions. My pick: Tampa Bay

Dallas at LA Chargers - The 'Boys lost a tough opening day game to the defending champion Buccaneers. Now, they head to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers, who themselves are coming off an impressive win in Washington. Still, I think that Dallas played well last weekend, and will do just enough to come away with the win. My pick: Dallas

Tennessee at Seattle - The Titans were smacked around a little bit last weekend against the Cardinals. now, they head to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Seahawks, who surprised the Colts last weekend. Hate to say it, but I suspect that Tennessee will dip down to 0-2. My pick: Seattle

SNF: Kansas City at Baltimore - The Chiefs flirted with disaster last week before pulling off another comeback win against Cleveland. Now, they go to Baltimore, which is never an easy place to win. The Ravens did lose last weekend in a tough game, and they obviously do not want to start off 0-2. This could go either way, and it will be a tough game to determine, one way or the other. However, I figure that the Chiefs should find a way to win, even if they escape once again just narrowly. My pick: Kansas City

MNF: Detroit at Green Bay - Once again, I have to say that what I would like to happen here is not what I believe will happen here. It would be nice to see the Lions come away with a win here, and maybe get on track a bit for this season. But the Packers, coming off not just a loss, but a rude wake up call in their blowout loss, are at home, and want to redeem themselves and put that embarrassment against New Orleans behind them. On Monday Night Football, before a national television audience and against a fairly weak opponent, they should be able to do it. My pick: Green Bay
