Some sad news to share today.
Friendly weatherman Willard Scott, who was the weatherman for NBC’s Today Show throughout my childhood and perhaps even into my adulthood, has died. He was 87 years old when he died.
Scott always wished people who turned 100 a “Happy Birthday,” and again, always sounded very friendly and decent. He seemed very likable, and was always one of my favorite aspects of the show, which my parents watched often enough in the mornings for me to be fairly familiar with it, and with him.
Anyway, he died at the age of 87, and after working with NBC for over half a century.
RIP, Willard Scott.
