Recreational Marijuana Begins To Be Sold in Garden State Today

Yes, today is the day when recreational marijuana finally starts actually being sold in New Jersey, even though voters long ago passed marijuana legalization and an end of the Prohibition. It comes more than a year and a half after voters overwhelmingly opted to make recreational use of marijuana legal here in the Garden State, which finally fits the name a bit more today.

However, there are only 13 dispensaries to this point.  And other than a fairly decent concentration of these in the northeastern part of the state (which also happens to be the most crowded part of it), they are generally few and far between.

Sometimes, it feels like this legalization here in Jersey was a bit half-hearted.

Still, to me, it is progress. And I for one am glad to finally have seen it happen. This makes today a historic day for this state.
