Saturday Games:
Pittsburgh 34, Cincinnati 11 - So I picked the Bengals, figuring that they looked hot, with an active three-game winning streak entering the game. Meanwhile, Pittsburgh had lost three in a row, and appeared a bit disheveled. So of course, what happens? The Steelers got hot, while the Bengals suddenly looked ice cold. That's the unpredictability of December in the NFL for you. Having earned a win in Cincy earlier this season, the Steelers now complete the sweep, and thus despite the two teams having identical records, the Bengals would lose the tiebreak on account of having gotten swept. As of right now, the Steelers would be in with a Wild Card. My pick: Inaccurate
Buffalo 24, LA Chargers 22 - The Bills stayed hot with an important win, although this one was not easy. They struggled more than I expected against the Chargers. In fact, it took a very late field goal for Buffalo to come back and win this one. At one point early in the second quarter, they were down by 10. But they showed resolve, and ultimately earned a win on a day when they did not particularly play their best football. A solid win, allowing the Bills to climb up to number 6 in the AFC playoff pictures. As for the Chargers, this loss eliminated them officially from the playoff picture. My pick: Accurate
