Honoring Elvis Presley on What Would Have Been His 89th Birthday

Yes, the "King" would have turned 89 years old today, if he were still around.

In honor of this occasion, it seemed fitting to publish something which, apparently, I never quite got around to publishing before. This is a link to an NPR article (All Things Considered, specifically) where Elvis songwriter Mike Stellar reflects on the days when he and Elvis were consistently creating huge hits, and when Elvis indeed was unofficially crowned "King."

Also, it seemed that I should include at least a video clip of Elvis doing what he did best. So below is link to the video of one of my personal favorite Elvis songs.
