One Quote By John Fugelsang Sums Up the Paradoxes of Modern American Political Thinking

“Only in America can you be pro-death penalty, pro-war, pro-unmanned drone bombs, pro-nuclear weapons, pro-guns, pro-torture, pro-land mines, and still call yourself 'pro-life.”

― John Fugelsang

Thought that this quote was apropos of the political climate in the United States prevalent today. This has been the popular, mainstream stance politically speaking for a very long time now.

Indeed, the "pro-life" group does seem to be obsessed with instruments and policies which, generally speaking, fixate on death and suffering. Hardly seems reflective of the actual, life affirming values that the "pro-life" label might suggest.

And if you happen to question that, then they quickly, instinctively, and I might add unthinkingly claim that you "hate America," or hate freedom.

Right.

Then we wonder why we tend to make ourselves look stupid and illogical to the rest of the world? As if this was so difficult to understand.

Anyway, just felt like sharing this quote here.
