Somehow, I never quite got around to publishing this particular post.
It is one of those stories that you hope is true, yet it remains difficult to believe. Mostly, it's because this feels like it's decidedly on the "too good to be true" list.
Still, hopefully this is true, or someday at least can be true. After all, it does appear to be something still in the works.
In any case, this seemed worth sharing here. Take a look at this fascinating article. While I admittedly am fascinated by science, my own capacity for understanding it is, admittedly and unfortunately, rather limited. So I cannot really speak to the viability of whether or not we can use plastic waste as fuel, and lessen our carbon footprint in the process. Again, it sounds wonderful, yet also feels suspiciously like it would be too good to be true.
Is anybody out there perhaps know more knowledgeable about this, and qualified to speak to it's viability (or perhaps the lack thereof)? If so, please feel welcome to contribute to he conversation with any comments that may enlighten me or other viewers and readers. This really sounds like a wonderful topic to explore.
Below is the link to the article which got me on this topic in the first place:
