Frank Zappa pretty much saw the decline of the United States as it was beginning to happen, long before it became obvious.
In fact, some people were outraged at his dire prognosis. Others were condescending, claiming that they did not wish to share his pessimism about he state of things in the country, and particularly his damning judgements of those so-called "leaders."
You know what? It people had taken him and what he was warning about a bit more seriously, perhaps we collectively, as a nation, might have had a chance to fight all of this before it reached the obviously dire state of things that we have sunk to now.
Take a look at this video. See if it's not rather amazing just how much Zappa got right, and many, many years before it became obvious to everyone else. This man was decades ahead of his time.
