CFL Update For October 27th

Winnipeg Blue Bombers 19  Montreal Alouettes 10 - The Blue Bombers won a largely meaningless game between these two teams. They will meet again next weekend in a relatively rare playoff crossover between East and West teams. This one will be played in Montreal. Should be interesting. Both teams finish the 2025 season with 10-8 records.

Hamilton Tigers-Cats 35, Ottawa Renegades 15   - Hamilton needed to win in order to clinch the East Division and with it, a playoff bye. They took care of business, leaving no real doubts by blowing past the lowly Renegades, who will start their offseason and rebuilding early. Hamilton finishes the season at 11-7, tops in the Early, while Ottawa finished at 4-14, the worst record in the entire league.

Calgary Stampeders 20 Edmonton Elks 10 - Calgary had a chance to host a playoff game, but needed help. They did not get it, since they needed the BC Lions to lose. But the Lions faced a team that had clinched the top spot, and thus rested their starters. That helped the Lions earn a win. Still, Calgary was impressive in winning this one. They finished the season 11-7, while Edmonton ends this season with a 7-11 record.

British Columbia Lions 27, Saskatchewan Rough Riders 21 - The BC Lions needed this win against the Rough Riders in order to clinch a home playoff game next weekend. Having done that, they finish the regular season with an 11-7 mark, while Saskatchewan ends the regular season with a CFL best 12-6 mark. The Lions get to host the Stampeders in next weekend's wildcard game.
