My 10,000th Published Post!

Yes indeed. This is my 10,000th published blog entry. 

Can you believe it? 

Funnily enough, it started at the urging of my then girlfriend. She saw that I wanted to write, then showed me how easy (and free) a blog page would be. This would have been late in 2010. So I went ahead and started my own blog page.

Initially, there were hardly any published blog entries. Three that first month, in December of 2010. Then 24 for all of 2011.

It was in 2012 that I started to really get serious about frequent blog entries. That year I published 356 blog entries, for an average of just under one per day for that calendar year. Since then, I averaged well over one blog entry per day and even averaged several blog entries here and there during certain years since. Indeed, "The Charbor Chronicles" have become part of my daily routine. 

Over the years, the blog entries have grown not only in number, but in diversity. To the extent that I can, the blog entries cover the major news of the day, as well as some book reviews, album reviews, reviews of shows and major events. Sometimes they are mostly pictures, or perhaps they cover a trip that I recently have taken, or even while I am on them. Other times, I simply have posted things about my own personal life, although those tend to be relatively rare. Indeed, it feels like I cannot be accused of fixating merely on one thing only. It seems fair to say that this blog page covers a lot of ground on a wide range of topics and things. That's a source of pride to me. 

Earlier this year - one day shy of three months as I publish this, in fact - "The Charbor Chronicles" reached 2 million overall views. That was a landmark worth noting, as well. Particularly since I do no advertising and almost no promotion of this page. I just write and post things and let it stand on it's own, for better or for worse.

Now, I have reached 10,000 published blog entries in total so far. A cause for celebration, I'd say.
