Denver versus NY Jets (in London, United Kingdom) - So far, the Jets are 0-5 in North America. So maybe a real change in their surroundings will help them and lift them to their first victory of the season? The last winless team in the league takes on Denver in London. But the Broncos are coming off a mighty impressive road win in Philadelphia, where they ended the undefeated start by the defending Super Bowl champions, snapping a 10-game winning streak by Philly which had stretched back to last season, including the four postseason wins. So the Broncos are riding high. Their confidence has to be soaring. It seems like their rebuilding plan is working wonderfully well. You never know what is going to happen, of course. However, the Broncos definitely feel like the better of these two teams, and they should be able to earn the win. My pick: Denver
Dallas at Carolina - The Cowboys are a difficult team to figure out. Then again, so are the Panthers. Dallas looks fantastic, like legitimate contenders, at times, and like a team that will not be around in the postseason at others. Meanwhile, Carolina looks awful at times, and every now and then they will pick up an impressive win. This one is a bit tough to call. However, I expect that the Cowboys are the better of these teams and should be able to win. My pick: Dallas
LA Rams at Baltimore - The Ravens are off to a horrific 1-4 start. And they don't seem to get any breaks with the schedule, either, because the fairly well-rested Rams are a tough team to have to face. The Rams, like the Ravens, just loss a heartbreaker at home. However, it feels like they have more going for them, which should help them to recover. That said, the Ravens are desperate for a win, which makes them dangerous. Still, it feels like there is something really, really wrong in Baltimore so far this season. My pick: LA Rams
Seattle at Jax - Both of these franchises are off to better starts than I had expected them to be so far this season. However, the Jaguars are so hot, they feel like they are on fire. With consecutive wins over the 49ers (in San Francisco) and now the Chiefs, the Jaguars almost feel like giant killers. Seattle has been impressive, but not quite on that level. Plus, the Jaguars have home field advantage, and Seahawks are traveling across the country, which makes this extra tough. My pick: Jacksonville
Arizona at Indianapolis - The Cardinals feel like they are imploding a bit following that 2-0 start to the season. Things don't get any easier for them this week, as they travel across the country to face the Colts in Indy. The Colts have suffered only one loss so far this season against the Rams. Even in that one, they were impressive in defeat. Not sure if they can keep it going throughout the season, but they should have enough to get past the Cardinals in this one. My pick: Indianapolis
LA Chargers at Miami - The Chargers seemed like one of the hottest teams in the league at 3-0. But consecutive loss to the Giants and then the Commanders, and they are reeling, desperate for something good to happen. Normally, a 1-4 team would be the perfect cure for what ails them. But the Dolphins feel like a more dangerous 1-4 team than most, given the talent, particularly on offense. Also, again, it feels like the Chargers must be hurting, and are vulnerable. So it is gut check time for the Chargers. They were lucky that KC lost last weekend, so they did not lose any more ground. But they simply cannot keep on losing if they want to be legitimate contenders for the AFC West title. It's time for them to come up with some goods. I suspect that they will. My pick: LA Chargers
Cleveland at Pittsburgh - The Steelers feel like a surging team right now. They are 3-1 and fairly well rested to this point. The Browns, meanwhile, are off to another disastrous start at 1-4. True, they pulled off a stunning upset over the Packers, but that already feels like a long time ago. Heading on the road to face the Steelers feels like a difficult task. Probably a bit too much for them, frankly. My pick: Pittsburgh
New England at New Orleans - Okay, so the Saints finally won one last weekend. But the Patriots are now coming to the Big Easy. They might not be the dynasty version of the Pats from a few years back. But it feels like they are turning things around in a big way, and coming off their most impressive win in years last week at Buffalo, handing the Bills their first (and so far, only) loss. The Saints will have their hands full and, frankly, this feels like a bit too much for them to handle. My pick: New England
Tennessee at Las Vegas - Two of the worst teams in the league square off in Vegas. The Titans earned their first win of the season, so no pressure for being winless. Now, both teams are desperate for their second win of the season. For the Titans, it could be a rare winning streak if they pull this one off. However, the Raiders frankly feel like they are overdue for a win. With home field advantage, I like them to pull this one off. My pick: Las Vegas
San Francisco at Tampa Bay - Two 4-1 teams square off in Tampa. This should be a really good one. The Bucs felt a bit suspect after their loss to the Eagles a couple of weeks ago. But then, they were impressive in recovering with a road win in Seattle, which is not the easiest place to play. Meanwhile, the 49ers are flying so far, and again alone in first place in the NFC West. This should be a competitive game that comes down to the wire. My pick: San Francisco
Cincinnati at Green Bay - Both teams are more suspect than their earlier 2-0 starts would suggest. However, the Bengals in particular have looked just awful. Without Burrow, they have really fallen far, and look closer to the worst team in the league. Acquiring veteran quarterback Joe Flacco could help. But going on the road to Lambeau Field against a fairly well-rested Packers team will not be easy. My pick: Green Bay
Sunday Night Football: Detroit at Kansas City - Wow, what a game this one should be! Remember that the Lions actually pulled off a huge win on the road against the Chiefs in the season opener just two seasons ago? That helped catapult them to the ranks of the elites ever since. It should help them to feel confident going into this one. Still, the Chiefs are never a team that you can overlook. They are better than their 2-3 record would suggest. Still, the Lions are among the hottest teams in the league. It could go either way, but I give the slight edge to the road team heading into this one. My pick: Detroit
Monday Night Football Game # 1: Buffalo at Atlanta - The Bills suffered their first defeat of the season last weekend. Now, they go on the road to face the Falcons. Playing in Atlanta always feel tricky. You never know which version of the Falcons you are going to get. Talk about an up and down team. Still, the Bills should manage to refocus after that loss. That is why they are my pick to pull this one off. My pick: Buffalo
Monday Night Football Game # 2: Chicago at Washington - The final game of Week 6 action is interesting. The Bears are an improving team. Meanwhile, Washington is struggling to establish themselves as legitimate contenders following last season's late season run and postseason success. However, they feel on the edge of something good, and at home, they will be very tough to beat. Too tough for the Bears, I suspect. My pick: Washington
