I was never a huge baseball fan, or anything, at any point in my life. So, while I have a passing interest in baseball, particularly this time of the year, when the championship is about to be decided, it still is not a given that I will watch a baseball game, usually until the final game of the World Series – if even then.
Yet, something happened at the game last night that made me wish that I had indeed been watching this game.
Donald Trump – the man who I believe should be known as King Con Don – made a public appearance. I guess he wanted to take a break from all of those endless rounds of golf that the man playa on the weekends, even though he promised not to have any time to play golf once in the White House, back in the good old days before he was ever elected to this nation’s highest office. Plus, the game comes on at night, so he can no longer play golf at that time, so he thought it might be a good idea to take in a game. After all, it is not like he is doing anything important with his time otherwise, right?
Well eventually, his presence was announced. And the man who believes himself to be the most popular and beloved person in the world was…well, booed. Loudly booed. There were even chants of “Lock Him Up!”
Knowing him, he probably will pretend that these were chants of “ooohhh!” As if everyone was in awe of being in his presence.
But even though King Con Don lies, video footage like this does not. The crowd clearly bursts into loud boos, and there are clear chants to “Lock Him Up!”
You know he will try to spin this, or claim some kind of crazy conspiracy. But it is a sign that people are truly tired of his crap, at least most people. Obviously, there are plenty of people out there who will buy into whatever he says, whatever interpretation that he or FAUX News or Breitbart have to say about it.
Listen to these videos. The sudden and clear burst of boos as soon as Trump is announced, and the clear chants of “Lock Him Up.”
Then remember that this man tries to convince himself, perhaps more than anyone else, that he is the most popular man on the planet, and perhaps even the most popular man in history. Remember that he claimed there were more people at his inauguration than any other that came before, just like he claims he has accomplished more than any other administration in history. Hell, he even was convinced that the yellow coat protesters in Paris were calling out his name because the French love him, according to him. Look a the poll numbers for Trump in France, and you will get a very different story.
King Con Don makes a habit of lying, and it only stands to reason that, at some point, he has come to believe in his own lies. He fools himself. But remember: he is nowhere near as popular as he pretends to be. He not only is not well-liked in this country, but he is hated. When people who are well-to-do enough to go to a World Series game start booing this truly sad, pathetic man – and let us hope that he heard the boos and the meaning registered on some level – then you know that a growing majority of people are fed up with the nonsense going on at the White House ever since this clown took the oath of office. Sports fans are generally not known to be bleeding heart liberals, and baseball fans are arguably among the most conservative and in love with traditional values. So, this came as a pleasant surprise to me to see this man get the kind of real reception he so richly deserves.
