⚽️ PSG Sweats, But Stages Comeback & Defeats Montpelier ⚽️

⚽️ ⚽️ Montpelier 1, Paris Saint-Germain 3  ⚽️  ⚽️

Montpelier 1, Paris Saint-Germain 3 (1 - 3)

PSG had to come back against Montpelier, and managed to stave off what would have been an upset and a letdown. My brother explained it earlier in a comment, so it seemed like a good idea to simply copy and paste his comments.

Before that, let me just say that Argentinian star Leandro Paredes, a midfielder for PSG, scored an Own Goal in the 41st minute, just for reference.

Otherwise, this was a pretty good summary from my brother:

P.S. There seems to be a flurry of games before the annual holiday break. PSG played yet again today, this time in Montpellier. They conceded a goal in the 41st minute and looked as though they might suffer a rare defeat, before scoring three unanswered goals (Neymar in the 74th minute, Mbappé in the 76th and Icardi in the 81st) to clinch the come-from-behind victory.

1 comment:

  1. PSG will probably reach the 30-win mark (there are 38 games in a Ligue 1 season, with each of the 20 teams playing the other 19 twice: once at home and once on the road), for what I believe would be the third or fourth time in recent memory. Not too long ago that was unheard of in French soccer, but PSG has become so dominant that it barely registers as newsworthy anymore.
It's Montpellier, by the way, unlike the capital of Vermont, which for some reason is spelled Montpelier.
