I would love to say that the Jets actually have a chance in this one, but frankly, it is hard to see how they can win.
Frankly, it is almost difficult to imagine them being able to make a close game of this. After all, the Ravens are probably the hottest team in the league. They have a very tough defense, and their offense is led by the young, hot quarterback phenom, Lamar Jackson, who is probably leading in the MVP race, and deservedly so. Obviously, that offense is potentially very explosive with him at the helm, and the Gang Green defense will clearly have their hands full.
Plus, after all of that, this game is at Baltimore. Not an easy place to play, and the Ravens have not yet clinched everything. They still have yet to win the division title, much less clinch a playoff bye or home field advantage. In other words, they will not be resting their starters, which would clearly give the Jets a chance otherwise.
Indeed, the Jets have been playing better in recent weeks. They have played well, actually, and won four of their past five games.
But the Ravens have won what, nine in a row right now? They just got past tough games against the 49ers and at Buffalo. And again, they still have to clinch a division title and, most assuredly, at least a playoff bye. Frankly, it seems like just a matter of time before they get that home field, to boot. Hard to imagine anything will seriously stand in their way from getting all of that, least of all a Jets team that clearly will not be reaching the playoffs themselves this year.
Not hard to make this prediction.
