This was an article that I ran into late last year, when I was actively trying to avoid politics, as a kind of Christmas gift to myself, if you will. An effort to minimize holiday stress, and just take a break from all of the stresses of the larger world.
But as I was cleaning out the computer, I noticed this in a tab, and opened it. This seems to have added intensity, frankly, given the volatile situation that Trump started with Iran, nearly provoking another Middle East war (which he promised he would not do), and which ultimately led to Iran retaliating, and sending missiles to show that they did something. One of those missiles accidentally struck a passenger plane, and a lot of Canadians were on that plane.
Rightly, I think, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau blamed Trump's escalation of the Iranian situation as the major reason.
Well, here is another alarming story that is discomforting to think about, seeing as though we still have this imbecilic hothead in the Oval Office, with his tiny fingers near the nuclear button.
Trump evidently called for an evacuation of the city of Seoul (one of the largest cities in the world) when tensions with North Korea suddenly heightened. According to the article, Trump asked why Seoul was so close to the North Korean border, as if the city did not exist before Korea was divided in two.
All at one, this article shows Trump's astonishing levels of ignorance, arrogance, and frankly, insanity.
Be afraid to have such an irresponsible maniac in our highest office. What a huge mistake this whole era has been! And what a stain on this country, which will be remembered long after Trump has left office. We should never forget all of those who loudly supported this lunatic.
