Huge Sports Night in Philadelphia & Houston

This was a big night in sports for Philadelphia. Their baseball team, the Philadelphia Phillies, hosted their final home game of this World Series against the Houston Astros. Ironically, their football team, the Philadelphia Eagles, were on the road to play the Houston Texans, and trying to keep their unbeaten record intact.

So, let's take a closer look at how the two teams did:

Philadelphia Eagles 29, Houston Texans 17

The Eagles entered this month as the only remaining undefeated team in the NFL. And with the Texans entering this game with a 1-5-1 record, one of the worst in the league, many expected Philly to make short work of the Texans. That, however, did not happen. In fact, the Texans tested the Eagles, and kept it close until well into the final quarter, when Philly finally managed to ice the game. The win keeps the Eagles unbeaten, as they improve now to 8-0 n the season, which stands as the best start in franchise history.

World Series Game 5

The Houston Astros were coming off a huge win in Game 4, in a series they trailed 2 games to 1. But the Astros managed only the second no hitter in World Series history. They were able to shut out the Phillies, 5-0, and even the World Series at 2-2.

So what happened tonight?

Well, as I write this, the game is still going on. As of right now, it is the bottom of the 8th, and Houston leads, 3-1.

Let's see what happens the rest of the way.
