Remember when King Con Don first ran for the White House, how he said that if he became president, that the United States would just win and win and win some more? That other countries would be full of reverence and respect for this new version of the United States? He claimed that the rest of the world had been laughing at the country, but that would end once he got into office.
Except that it didn't happen quite that way, of course. People viewed him as a clown. Within hours of meeting several European heads of state, those leaders at least temporarily ditched diplomacy and declared to the people of Europe that the United States was not an ally that they felt they could rely on any longer. Remember how there was a huge balloon of a crying baby Trump flying over London during his visit to that city? And remember how Trump was literally laughed at before the entire world while addressing the United Nations, after mistaking it for a Trump rally and going on about his own accomplishments and greatness?
Not too long ago, Former National Security Advisor John Bolton said that other foreign leaders had a low opinion of Trump, not surprisingly. According to him, they viewed King Con Don as a "laughing fool." Bolton also refuted Trump's claims that Putin and Russia would have held off on invading Ukraine if Trump had remained in office.
Bolton is a war hawk, and generally, what he says should be held with some skepticism. However, I suspect that what he says of Trump is, in this case, right on the mark.
Take a look at the article (see link below) for more details on how other world leaders viewed Trump's buffoonery for exactly what it was, and is:
