It still is amazing to me - never ceases to stagger me, frankly - that the most incompetent and obnoxious president in American history has somehow managed to dominate the American political scene now for a decade. The same man who keeps making these unbelievable, grandiose, too good to be true, over the top promises which everyone knows he will never be able to keep nonetheless apparently has enough credibility among tens of millions of Americans that they keep listening to him. Agreeing with him.
Never are his failures even mentioned. He promised so much, but his cult following never hold his feet to the fire. He failed to build the wall and make Mexico pay for it. He never bothered to even try building an affordable healthcare system that would cover everyone. He never paid any of the national debt off that he promised to pay off in eight years. In fact, he increased the debt by over 25% during his first four years, and then he added another $3 trillion within the first six months of his second term. He never locked up Crooked Hillary. He failed to lower the price of groceries and gas quickly, as he promised. Ten months into his second term, the prices at the supermarket have never been higher. He promised to release the Epstein Files, then abruptly changed directions with that, too, once he found out that he was actually one of the names on that list.
Why hasn't he managed to lower gas and grocery prices?
Well, because he's too busy demolishing the integrity of the White House - both literally and figuratively - and trying to glorify his own name, aggressively championing himself to be the recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize, wanting to be on Mount Rushmore, wanting the home stadium for an NFL franchise to be named after him, taking over the Kennedy Center so that he can control the content and also be glorified further.
On and on and on with this guy.
So how in hell does he still have even a shred of credibility?
A sign of the times. Pathetic times, to be sure.
