Just days ago, Dear Leader, the man many of his supporters love because he allegedly stands opposed to any wars (at least outside of American borders) warned that the United States might get itself involved in a foreign conflict after all.
He warned that a strong military response might be needed to contain Islamic militants in Nigeria. That is deep in the heart of Africa. Far from the closest American borders. Hell, Nigeria is not even of those places that he warned might be taken over by the United States military, like the Panama Canal, Greenland, Gaza, and Canada.
Because nothing reminds people of the Nobel Peace Prize that he so clearly, desperately wants than killing people in boats in the Caribbean under mysterious circumstances, then threatening to go to war in a country half a world away.
I would be willing to bet that Trump supporters will quickly come to the conclusion that Trump is a genius. That he is likely trying to portray a dangerously unstable and unpredictable leader capable of anything. That a "libtard" like me just will never understand the man's true genius.
My guess is that we will not actually get involved in a conflict in Nigeria. Even Trump knows that he would then be tinkering with the loyalty he seems to have so effortless received from his cult following - and I mean it when I use the term "cult" following. This likely is more bluster and chaos from a man who has used exactly that to pursue his political ambitions, including once he is finally in office.
Then again, I don't believe that Trump is merely posing as a dangerously unstable leader. My own suspicion is that this is exactly what Americans knowingly voted for.
Let's see what happens.
