Not a big fan of selfies, and rarely take them. But I cannot remember having updated my profile picture in a while, and thought that an updated one would be good for the new year. And looking at it, I even have a resolution for next year: try not to look angry in at least one picture that I'm in.

2022: The Year in Review
That's just about it now! As John Lennon once said, "Another year over, and a new one just begun."
Indeed. Technically, it is not quite the new year just yet. But we are in the last day, the final countdown. As I write this, there are less than 24 hours left on the East Coast of North America. Less than 20, in fact, as I am writing this.
Before 2023 gets here, it seems appropriate to do what I try to do at the end of every old, outgoing year here on "The Charbor Chronicles." Namely, reviewing the year which has just about gone by.
As I went through some of the old blog entries and pictures from earlier this year, it struck me that this was, in fact, a far more eventful year than I had originally assumed it was. We fully moved out of our old house in West Milford, my son became a junior in high school, and we went to a ton of events, including lectures and concerts, and even a trip to Europe!
So without further ado, here are some of the highlights, in pictures, from 2022.
Enjoy!
March: Elton John in Brooklyn
March: An Evening With a Holocaust Survivor: Agnes Adler Shares Story of Courage
April: House in West Milford Gets Official New Owner
Here are the two most recent (and last) pictures of the house that I took, which were taken in February.
May: RIP, Gerard Bordeau (My father)
A rarity: my mom requested a picture (which she very rarely ever does) of her and my father together during the November visit to Hornell. As it turns out, I believe that this is the last picture of them together, and possibly the last picture of him ever, also.
This was from 2018, when my parents, Basia (my girlfriend), Sebastien and me got together for ice cream at the Dairy Queen in West Milford on Route 23.
June: Paul McCartney in Syracuse, Tears For Fears
Ran into this image of John Lennon, and just thought it was cool, as well as appropriate for the day, given that Paul McCartney was in town.
Walking up the stairs right by the Crouse College building, which was completed in 1889 in the Romanesque style. According to Wikipedia, it housed the first College of Fine Arts in the United States.
Looking across part of the campus towards the Carrier Dome, now known as the JMA Dome, which is where the Syracuse Orangemen play their games. It also is where the Paul McCartney show took place in. Back in 1998, when I saw the Rolling Stones here, it was the first time I had ever been inside of a football dome. Pretty cool.
July: Central Park in NYC and Notre Dame de Paris
July: Sandy Hook Beach and Brian Wilson and Chicago at the PNC Bank Arts Center
August: Cincinnati Bengals at New York Giants
August: Santana, Earth, Wind and Fire, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers
