RIP, Kirstie Alley

Kirstie Alley, the former Cheers actress, has died after a short battle with cancer. She was 71.

She was best known for her years as Rebecca Howe in Cheers. I also remember seeing her in a movie version of "The Scarlett Letter." It is strange timing, because I have been watching a lot of old Cheers reruns in recent months. I remember having quite the crush n her back in the day. She seemed incredibly beautiful to me.

In more recent years, Alley was probably known best for spouting some very extremist political viewpoints. She voiced her support of Donald Trump, and later admitted to regretting that. Now admittedly, I was a bit disappointed with Alley voicing some of those political opinions. But all that aside, she was a talented actress, and will be missed.
