After most of a day spent in snowy northern New Jersey yesterday, I was reminded that this is indeed the holiday season. Traditionally, this is a time of pleasure and anticipation, but it is also a time of great stress for many. We know that many people, unfortunately, feel lonelier during this time of the year than they do at other times. Perhaps it is the colder weather, the shorter days, or the possible depression that hits many hard during this time of the year.
So today, I thought that we could get a reminder of just how important it is to try and obtain some enlightenment and inner peace that we all try and achieve in life.
Below, we have the deep thoughts of a true Zen master, someone who has achieved a higher plane of enlightenment than anyone who ever came before, and probably, better than anyone who will ever come in the future. Believe me, this master knows all about enlightenment. You'll never meet a more enlightened soul, okay? Nobody knows enlightenment better than this master. It's tremendous, just how much enlightenment this master has achieved!
Other people have attempted to achieve Nir-va-na before. And they will tell you that there way is the best way. They may even try to undermine this master's stance on enlightenment. But they are clearly just jealous of how strongly this master has achieved enlightenment. Enlightenment came so quickly and so easily to this master, that it is almost - almost - as if enlightenment wanted to be one with this master. Nobody else was able to discard ego and want and fulfillment quite like this master so clearly has. Believe me, this is the most accomplished of all who slay the dragon of ego and want!
