Pictures of Foothills Covered in Blanket of Clouds Overlooking Lake

It is difficult to believe already now, since we just seemed to have entered the first stretch of what could be described as the dog days of summer. But recently, we had a chilly, rainy day. And while driving early in the morning on that day, I stopped by the side of the road briefly in Kinnelon, New Jersey, to snap this picture.

To me, it just seems to have a dramatic kind of beauty to it. I took this on the morning of June 6th, and I admittedly was more focused on the 80th anniversary of D-Day. So never quite got around to publishing these pictures.

Sorry that it took so long to get around to it. But maybe it's best, because looking at these pictures of a cool morning almost feels refreshing, since these recent days have felt uncomfortably hot, and the heat (and humidity, most likely) is supposed to grow even more intense in coming days.

Here is a picture of an idyllic early morning scene on a soggy day.

Enjoy.
