Here are some pictures taken by my father many years ago. This is one of the two Chevaux de Marly (Marly horses) by Coustou, in his hometown of Marly-le-Roi.
Thee horses kind of came to symbolize not just the town of Marly-le-Roi for me, but France, and my connection to it, on some level. I loved them, and believe them to be beautiful works of art. At one point, he gave me one of these photos, understanding that I loved the Marly horses.
So again, I thought this would be an appropriate time to share these pictures here and now.
