Prior to viewing this video, I had not realized that Carlos Alcaraz had yet to lose any of his really big final's matches. That the Olympic Gold Medal Match was his first loss in the final of a major tournament, which was a bit surprising.
It's only natural, then, that his emotions were running a bit high after a tough loss to Novak Djokovic. He lost in two sets, but both went to tiebreakers, so the match was clearly hard fought and quite competitive.
After the tough loss, Alcaraz broke down in tears. Understandable, since this was a particularly tough loss. He was playing for his country of Spain, in an event (the Olympics) which only comes around once every four years. He felt that he had let his countrymen down, which I am not really sure is the case as much as he assumes.
So I thought it would be worth it to share this video. The narration is a bit...well, robotic.
Still, it gives some decent information about what was going on with Alcaraz after losing to Djokovic in the Olympics.
