Yes, I have written a lot about Woodstock lately, even from Europe.
One last time, though, today, because the three day music festival actually ended on the fourth day, with Jimi Hendrix playing a very memorable set. It included his unique and powerful interpretation of the Star-Spangled Banner.
It happened on this morning, August 18th, exactly 55 years ago today.
In the spirit of remembrance, below are a couple of videos from his unforgettable performance, which was arguably the crowning moment of what itself was a concert event unlike any other. Woodstock lives on right to the present day.
