It was 53 years ago on this day - half a century ago exactly - that the Beatles released the Abbey Road album, which would be their final album together as a band.
It is a great album, one of the best ever. The name Abbey Road is now most likely most famous for this great Beatles album. And the picture that was used has become very iconic. Many people, and even some musical acts, have tried to replicate it with their own version of this famous cover.
My son and I fulfilled a dream of mine by actually visiting - and yes, taking pictures of both of us crossing - the famous zebra stripes. I am including those pictures down below the very famous album cover.
Is there ever even a bad time to listen to a great Beatles album?
