France played Austria yesterday in a Nation's League match at the Stae de France in St-Denis, right outside of Paris yesterday.
Les Bleus were successful, beating Austria fairly convincingly while maintaining a clean sheet.
Kylian Mbappé scored the first goal of the game for Les Bleus in the 56th minute for the 1-0 lead.
France then expanded that lead when Olivier Giroud in the 65th minute, providing some cushion for the defending World Cup champions. They were able to hold onto that lead to ice the win.
Overall, France held onto possession of the ball for 61 percent of the game, and enjoyed 88 percent pass efficiency. They also managed 22 shots while allowing just 4 by Austria, with 6 shots on target for France, to none for Austria.
A solid win indeed.
