There was a mass shooting in New Zealand today, and the guy who did it streamed it live from his Facebook account.
Initial reports indicated that 27 people had been killed, but the number of fatalities has now gone up to 49 killed.

The video clip is allegedly several minutes long, and shows the murderer as he drives to a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, and then get his guns and begin his rampage. The drive would seem unspectacular if you did not know the driver's intentions, or where he is heading, and what he winds up doing.
He pulls into an alley next to the Al Noor Mosque mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand, and the video shows him going to the sidewalk, entering the grounds of the mosque, and then raising his gun as he approaches the entrance. That is when the mass shooting begins, and it cuts off immediately before he begins the actual rampage, although the video did nonetheless live stream. Authorities have been trying to track down existing video that shows the complete mass shooting as it happened, but allegedly, versions of it still exist on Facebook.

The man's name is Brenton Tarrant, and he is an Australian white supremacist. He decided not only to target Muslims for a mass shooting, but to film the entire thing, as well.
There were actually three shootings have taken place in Christchurch on Friday afternoon. Two occurred at different mosques within the city, the first at the Al Noor Mosque mosque, although there are reports of another shooting at the Linwood Masjid mosque. The third shooting was at Christchurch Hospital.
As of right now, it is unclear whether the same gunman was responsible for all of the shootings, particularly of the second mosque shooting, although the man who has been identified as Brenton Tarrant live streamed the shooting at the Al Noor Mosque during afternoon prayers. The Bangladeshi cricket team was in the building at the time, as they are visiting New Zealand currently.
According to Heavy.com (see link below):
Brenton Tarrant’s name circulated quickly on social media after a copy of the extremely disturbing video circulated on YouTube and other online sites. Heavy has viewed the extremely troubling video but has opted not to run it or any screenshots showing bodies although you can see other screenshots throughout this article. The timeline has not been clarified by police, who said the second shooting scene was at a Linwood mosque. It’s not clear whether the same gunman opened fire there as well, as the video only shows one mosque.
Tarrant described himself in a manifesto, effectively suggesting that he was merely taking urgent action to save his "people," by which he presumably means the white race:
“Just a ordinary white man, 28 years old,” the manifesto explains. “Born in Australia to a working class, low income family. My parents are of Scottish, Irish and English stock. I had a regular childhood, without any great issues. I had little interest in education during my schooling, barely achieving a passing grade.” He claimed he invested in “bitconnect,” used the money to travel, and added, “I am just a regular white man, from a regular family. Who decided to take a stand to ensure a future for my people.”

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinta Ardern suggested that these attacks were clearly "well-planned" and said that this is "one of New Zealand's darkest days". She went on:
"It is clear that this can now only be described as a terrorist attack. From what we know, it does appear to have been well-planned," she said.
"These are people who I would describe as having extremist views, that have absolutely no place in New Zealand, and in fact have no place in the world.
"While we do not have any reason to believe at this stage that there are any other suspects, we are not assuming that at this stage."
