Update on Russian-Ukrainian War For Mar 24, 2022

Today marks one month since the day that Russian military forces passed through Ukraine's borders and launched the invasion. Since then, news from this war has seemed to completely dominate world headlines on almost every news medium.

NATO members held a special meeting today, with the obvious topic of conversation being the war in Ukraine. They agreed to step up supplies of weapons to help the Ukrainian cause.

Ukrainian forces have gone on the offensive, managing to push back Russian forces approximately 30 miles and change, away from the capital city of Kyiv. This gives the capital city a little bit more breathing room.

Russia is expected to bolster the strength of it’s military force in Ukraine. NATO has estimated that somewhere between 7,000 to up to 15,000 Russian soldiers have been killed during this war in Ukraine to this point. It is clear at this point that the war is not going well for Russia. Some in the West are nervous that a desperate Putin will turn to increasingly desperate measures, and may use biological weapons.

Of course, the news in Russia is not telling people there the extent of the damage, or news that would seem to suggest that the invasion was launched for anything other than the most noble reasons. It also will not show the Russian people that the war is not going as well as Putin and many others had expected it to be going by this point.
