France Falls to South Africa in a Tight Quarterfinal at the Rugby World Cup

 

France was knocked out of the Rugby World Cup yesterday, after falling just short against South Africa, one of the traditional powerhouses in the sport.

The French side played well, and the contest remained tight throughout. However, the Springboks (the nickname of the South African rugby team) were able to just hang on after a turnover in the game's final moments prevented France from a chance to win the contest right at the end.

A good game, and a decent tournament. But France goes home, while South Africa advances.
