A few years ago, Trump's lawyers were very busy making a mockery of themselves and the American justice system, as well as undermining faith in our elections, and our democracy in general. Frankly, it was criminal. Yet, much like Trump himself, they just kept getting away with it, seemingly without the least ramifications.
Well lately, a few of those lawyers have finally admitted to wrongdoing. The most famous case is Sidney Powell, who's crazy conspiracy theories became the fodder for late night television comedians.
As it turns out, she recently plead guilty in the Georgia election subversion case. In fact, she may testify against Trump.
It's about time that they came clean and admitted the whole thing was bullshit.
Yet somehow, my guess is that loyal Trump supporters will not be dissuaded in the least. That is, if they even bother paying attention to this case to begin with. What a sad state of affairs our political system has become. Indeed, it feels like it has become a mockery.
Sigh.
