Jacksonville (4-2) at New Orleans (3-3)
The Saints have been inconsistent this season. At times, they look like a serious playoff contender. Then at other times, they look like a team who's season might be over well before the holiday season rolls around, and teams make their final push to the playoffs.
That said, the Jaguars also have been inconsistent this season. They, too, have sometimes appeared like a team that will fail to qualify for the playoffs. Except, they are on a hot streak right now, having won three straight games, including one against the Bills, who sure seem like a serious contender, and have been for years now.
So while this game could potentially be difficult to forecast, I feel like it is the Jaguars who are the obvious choice to get this win. They just have a ton of momentum on their side. So while it feels like the Saints are good enough to battle throughout and keep it close, the Jaguars sure feel like the better team, and I expect that they should win this one to remain hot.
My pick: Jacksonville
Extra:
It seemed fitting to add some pictures of a preseason meeting between these two same teams which my son and I attended a couple of years ago, late in August at the Superdome in New Orleans.
Enjoy!
