NFL 2023 Week 5: Thursday Night Football Preview: Chicago at Washington

🏈🏈🏈🏈

Chicago Bears (0-4) at Washington Commanders (2-2)

The Commanders have dropped two games in a row, although they played well last weekend in a tight loss to the Eagles. Still, they showed some good fight, and really pushed the Eagles to the limit.

However, they have suffered two losses in a row, and are in desperate need of a win.'

Enter the Chicago Bears, who feel very much like the worst team in the league. If they are not the worst team, then I frankly am not sure who is. They were embarrassed by the Chiefs two weeks ago. Then last week, they blew a 21-point first half lead and lost to the previously winless Denver Broncos, who hardly look like a powerhouse kind of a team themselves.

So it's not looking good for the Bears. They are going through some tough times. Justin Fields is struggling, and most feel like he is revealing that he is not the answer, that he just will not live up to all of the hype that surrounded him.

Washington has a tough defense, and they also are hungry for a win. With home field advantage, and a weak team, I just cannot see how the Bears win this one.

My pick: Washington
