Cincinnati at Houston - The Bengals earned an impressive win last weekend against the Bucs. Their defense stepped up big time to help secure the win. However, going on the road now to take on what may be the league's top defense is a very tough prospect. My pick: Houston
Philadelphia at Tennessee - Tennessee lost their debut with their new look and new coach last weekend. Expect some improvements this season. This weekend, however, is a very tough test. The Eagles are one of the best teams in the league, I believe. And they should prove to be too much for the Titans. My pick: Philadelphia
New Orleans at Baltimore - The Saints should be an improved team to last season. However, opening on the road at Detroit and then at Baltimore would be tough for any team. Eventually, the Saints will win. But I highly doubt that it will be this week. My pick: Baltimore
Minnesota at Chicago - Already an important divisional showdown in Week 2. These two teams won and share first place after opening weekend. Now, the winner here in this game will take sole possession of first place in the division already. Couldn't ask for a better situation. I suspect that Chicago's offense will score a lot today.. My pick: Chicago
Cleveland at Tampa Bay - Both of these teams got off to disappointing starts last week. The Bucs lost a tough one in Cincy. Meanwhile, the Browns started off disastrously, looking egregious in Jacksonville. Both teams will make adjustments, but the Bucs are likely the better team. My pick: Tampa Bay
Pittsburgh at New England - So yeah, the Steelers won last week at home against Atlanta. Yet despite Aaron Rodgers predicting that Pittsburgh is going to the Super Bowl, I suspect that today's game will be the first of many wakeup calls for Rodgers and the Steelers. My pick: New England
Carolina at Atlanta - Some games are tougher to pick than others. This one felt like a toss up. But I figured that the Panthers defense would tighten up after getting embarrassed last week, and that should carry them (I guess). My pick: Carolina
Las Vegas at LA Chargers - The Silver & Black earned an impressive win on opening day last weekend. However, they now go on the road to take on a Chargers team that knows they let one slip last weekend. Now, the Chargers need a win. Against the Raiders, they will get it. My pick: LA Chargers
Jacksonville at Denver - The Jaguars looked mighty impressive last weekend. Alright, it was against Cleveland, so you can't take that too far. But I suspect that they are fired up and ready to pull off an upset in this game. Expect it to be very tough and come down to the end. But I like the Jags for the upset win. My pick: Jax
Seattle at Arizona - Speaking of not taking one win too seriously, the Cards had an impressive win against the Chargers last weekend. Now, they return home, but face a much tougher test. The defending champs and that defense will be back. There is a question mark with the QB position for Seattle, so that does add some doubt. But I suspect that the 'Hawks will pull off this one. My pick: Seattle
Miami at San Francisco - The Fins got punched in the mouth against the Raiders last weekend. Now they have to stay out West, but play a much tougher team? Do I even really have to explain my pick for this one beyond that? My pick: San Francisco
Washington at Dallas - Both of these teams lost tough divisional games last weekend. Now, they face one another. The 'Boys once again have big expectations. But that leaky defense last weekend concerns me. And Washington looked better than expected. I suspect they pull off the upset and beat the 'Boys in Big D. My pick: Washington
Sunday Night Football: Indianapolis at Kansas City - A lot of people watched the Chiefs win big last Monday. And the universal theme after seemed to be that Kansas City was back. After this game, that will only be reinforced. Expect the Chiefs to win big. My pick: Kansas City
Monday Night Football: NY Giants at LA Rams - This game should be a good one. The G-Men are improved. But the Rams are coming off a disappointing loss, and want to show that they are for real and better than they showed. This should be a win for the home team. My pick: LA Rams
