Cincinnati at Pittsburgh - The Bengals are 2-0 and looking very impressive to this point. The Steelers looked decent with a win in week one, but were seriously humbled last weekend. Aaron Rodgers was roughed up, and the Steelers took a pounding against New England. Granted, they are at home in the Steel City this time around. But with a healthy Joe Burrow, my money is on the Bengals staying hot.. My pick: Cincy
Jacksonville at New England - Two teams figuring to be prominent playoff powers meet up in Foxboro. I liked how both teams played last season. So far this season, the Pats look stronger and better to me. Plus, with home field advantage, it seems like the Pats should be able to win a second in a row in this one. My pick: New England
Seattle at Washington - One season after reaching the NFC Championship Game, the Commanders had a disastrous season. I figured that they would bounce back this season, but they have gotten off to a rough start. Now, taking on the defending Super Bowl champs, it feels like they still are not fully ready. So expect the 'Hawks to come out swinging and to take this one. My pick: Seattle
Carolina at Cleveland - A tough game to make a pick for. If it was in Carolina, it would be easier. But the Browns really seemed to food off of the terrible reviews of their season opener, coming up with the goods last week. Now, with home field advantage for the first time this season, I expect the Browns to play well and to notch an important win. My pick: Cleveland
Kansas City at Miami - The Chiefs looked like a well-oiled machine on opening weekend, then struggled but survived a scare against the Colts last weekend. Now, they go out on the road. However, it is in Miami against a struggling Dolphins team. It feels like a gift, and a good chance for the Chiefs to get off to a 3-0 start this year. My pick: Kansas City
LA Chargers at Buffalo - The Chargers are not necessarily as bad as their 0-2 start. Plus, they are likely a desperate team. That alone might give them a better than average chance in this one, even though Buffalo is a tough place for road teams to go to. Still, the Bills clearly feel like the better overall team heading into this game, which is why they are my pick to come out on top. My pick: Buffalo
Houston at Indianapolis - Both of these teams have gotten off to disastrous 0-2 starts. Neither team looks good, which makes this game a difficult one to predict. After all, if one team does something disastrous at a crucial moment and loses as a result of it, will anyone be shocked? Likely not, because it will continue the trends for both teams so far this season. Eventually, both of these teams will notch a win. However, my pick for this week in a tough game that could go either way is for the Texans to win, based mostly off the strength of their defense. My pick: Houston
Arizona at San Francisco - The Forty Niners look like one of the best teams to this point in the season. Meanwhile, the Cardinals are 1-1, and it is almost shocking that they have won one. Despite having home field advantage, they were never seriously in the game against the Seahawks last weekend. In this game, on the road, it just feels like a no brainer that Arizona will likely be overwhelmed. My pick: San Francisco
Minnesota at Tampa Bay - Like with some other 0-2 teams, the Bucs feel particularly dangerous because they likely are feeling desperate. Two losses to open the season, and they could feasibly have won either, or both, of those games under slightly different circumstances. They have home field advantage in this one. However, the Vikings are 2-0 and looking good, and there is a reason for it. My pick: Minnesota
Las Vegas at New Orleans - Both of these teams look better than most expected them to at this point. The Saints were tough against Detroit in week one, then outright won at Baltimore last weekend. Impressive. As for the Raiders, they suffered through a disastrous season last year, but have notched two wins under their belts to this point in the season. Expect a tough game, but the Saints should find a way to win. My pick: New Orleans
Baltimore at Dallas - The Ravens missed an opportunity to stay unbeaten last weekend. The 'Boys put their failure in week one behind them by beating Washington convincingly last weekend. Both teams are 1-1, but it feels like the Ravens are the better overall team. Expect them to correct some of the concerns from last weekend's performance and to earn a big win on the road in Dallas. My pick: Baltimore
Sunday Night Football: LA Rams at Denver - A huge showdown which could possibly be a Super Bowl preview. Two of the elites in the league face off at Mile High. I believe that the Rams are, if ever so slightly, the better of these two teams. But on the road and in that altitude, the Broncos are just very tough to beat, so I expect them to come up with the win. My pick: Denver
Monday Night Football: Philadelphia at Chicago - This is a game where, had it happened before the key injury to Caleb Williams, I would have gone one way. Without him, however, I have to go the other way. Not that the Bears are a bad team. But they sure looked bad on offense last week, scoring a total of one field goal total just one week after scoring 59 points. Philly catches a break in that regard, and it should be enough to carry them to victory in this one. My pick: Philadelphia
